About This Role
Job Description
•
Create an inclusive and stimulating learning atmosphere grounded in evidence-based best practices.
•
Implement a curriculum that is challenging, pertinent, and meaningful, utilizing a transdisciplinary and conceptual approach in line with the English National Curriculum.
•
Exhibit proficiency in teaching design and technology alongside coding for primary students, integrating these subjects with inquiry units.
•
Build and sustain authentic, respectful, and positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, celebrating social, cultural, and religious diversity.
•
Adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
•
Participate in and contribute to meetings as needed.
•
Collaboratively develop and review Individual Education Plans as necessary.
•
Maintain planning documents that outline specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks, and assessments.
•
Monitor and record student progress.
•
Leverage technology to improve student learning outcomes.
•
Ensure a tidy, well-organized classroom environment, encouraging students to take pride in their learning space.
•
Oversee all aspects of classroom management, positively addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
•
Engage in professional discussions and collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge while upholding confidentiality.
•
Champion student wellbeing, promoting a culture of safeguarding and child protection while reinforcing the school’s commitment to student safety.
•
Reflect on personal teaching practices to stay informed about contemporary research and best practices.
•
Take part in Professional Learning and appraisal processes aimed at personal, professional, and career advancement.
•
Contribute to the management of pastoral care, health, welfare, and behavior for all students, particularly those in your assigned class group.
•
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
•
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an equivalent qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject followed by a PGCE from an accredited University or College.
•
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience is required, with a preference for those with inquiry-based teaching experience (IB or IPC).
•
Applicants are required to submit original copies of their certificates and academic transcripts for verification.
•
Immediate availability is preferred.
