About This Role

Starting: 3rd of August 2026

"Our mission is to deliver an inclusive, international education within a safe, joyful, supportive, and stimulating environment that caters to the individual needs of each learner. We inspire students to reach their full potential, fostering responsible global citizenship."

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are on the lookout for a Mathematics Teacher who is equally dedicated to fostering a nurturing, motivating, and inclusive educational experience for all students. Join us in making a meaningful and lasting difference.

Mathematics is a well-established and popular subject at St Andrews, and we seek an inspiring educator to enhance our team. With small class sizes and enthusiastic students, our approach to teaching is dynamic, utilizing a diverse array of teaching and learning strategies.

At St Andrews International School Bangkok, we firmly believe that understanding each child is essential to effective education. Our classrooms are inviting, supportive spaces where students are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop. Our teachers bring this vision to fruition through creativity, dedication, and a commitment to each child's distinctive educational journey.

Inspiring Learning and Development:

As a Mathematics teacher at St Andrews, you will facilitate both the academic and personal growth of your students by tailoring your teaching methods to accommodate their individual needs, abilities, and interests. You will stay updated on contemporary educational practices, integrating innovative approaches into our curriculum and providing regular, meaningful feedback to parents. Collaborative planning is a cornerstone of our philosophy, and you will work closely with colleagues and Heads of Subject to create cohesive learning experiences.

Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is aligned with the National Curriculum but encourages creative real-life applications and is taught in mixed-ability groups. In Key Stage 4, students in Years 10 and 11 study IGCSE Mathematics, with some taking their IGCSE exams early and subsequently pursuing a Further Pure Maths course.

For Key Stage 5, all students continue their Mathematics studies as part of their graduation pathway. They can choose between Mathematics: analysis and approaches or Mathematics: applications and interpretation in their IB Diploma or IB Career-related Programme. Alternatively, they may opt for Mathematics as a school-based subject. Experience with the IB HL AA or AI Maths curriculum is highly desirable, along with a background in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

We welcome applications from both new teachers, for whom we provide DfE, ECF-based training for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and experienced educators. Previous teaching experience in IB or A Level Mathematics is an advantage.

Collaborating as a Professional Team Member:

Being a member of our team means aligning with shared objectives and positively contributing to our school community. You will implement assessment and reporting protocols with integrity and precision, supervise students during designated periods, and aid in curriculum development through regular meetings and professional development sessions. Collaborating closely with fellow educators, you will help ensure a consistent, high-quality learning environment across classes and year groups.

Professional Development

We emphasize professional development, offering access to Nord Anglia University’s CPD platform and promoting collaboration through Professional Learning Communities, Triads, and WalkThrus. With opportunities for leadership and Masters programs, we support our teachers in their journey of lifelong learning.

Building a Welcoming School Community:

Our school is a vibrant environment that fosters curiosity and participation. As an educator, you will create inviting and stimulating classrooms and shared spaces, instilling excitement about learning and engagement in students. You will participate weekly in extracurricular activities, represent the school within the local and international communities, and support our House system by engaging in House events.

Our Community

Becoming part of St Andrews means joining a warm and inclusive community, where teachers engage beyond the classroom. Alongside teaching responsibilities, you will participate in our vibrant pastoral system, attend residential trips, and offer extracurricular activities that promote student development in academics, creative arts, sports, or social initiatives.

Curriculum and Learning Approach

Our curriculum generally follows the English National Curriculum with an inclusive, international perspective. Senior students pursue IGCSEs and the IB Diploma, with options available for the IB Career-Related Pathway and International BTECs, catering to our diverse student body. We embrace technology, adjusting to ongoing changes to ensure both staff and students have access to digital learning tools. Every teacher receives a personal device.

Safeguarding at St Andrews:

St Andrews is dedicated to ensuring the safety of all students and expects all staff to share this commitment (see our Child Protection Code of Conduct). No appointment will be made without at least two references, including one from the most recent employer, a ten-year criminal record check, and an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) or relevant regional prohibition order checks.
