The Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Upper Elementary grades, delivering captivating lessons that align with the American curriculum framework while aiding students in developing strong academic abilities and fostering independence in their learning journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing engaging lessons that adhere to the American curriculum

• Instructing core subjects such as English, Math, and Science

• Employing student-centered instructional methods that promote inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking

• Incorporating technology and hands-on learning experiences to encourage active learning

• Evaluating and tracking student progress through formative and summative assessments

• Cultivating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and confident

• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and instructional methodologies

• Contributing to the broader school community through extracurricular activities and community involvement

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related discipline

• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)

• Experience in teaching Upper Elementary grade levels

• Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework

• A commitment to student-centered and inquiry-based learning

• Strong classroom management and communication abilities

Experience in an international school environment is preferred but not mandatory.
