Job Description
We are in search of an enthusiastic and experienced English/Humanities Teacher to become a part of our secondary team starting in August 2026.
The ideal candidate will provide captivating lessons in English and Humanities, fostering a stimulating and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student can excel both academically and personally.
This position demands strong planning, assessment, and teaching abilities, with a focus on encouraging students to reach their full potential while cultivating a passion for learning and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities
•
Deliver exceptional lessons in English and Humanities to secondary-level students.
•
Design engaging, student-focused lessons that enhance literacy, critical thinking, and cultural comprehension.
•
Regularly assess student progress and offer constructive feedback.
•
Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that inspires students to engage and learn.
•
Incorporate digital resources and educational technologies to enrich teaching and student interaction.
•
Provide individual support to students as needed, including assistance with literacy and study skills.
•
Engage with the broader school community through events, cultural initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects.
•
Work collaboratively with colleagues to exchange best practices and uphold high standards within the department.
Skills and Competencies
•
Robust subject expertise in English and Humanities.
•
Experience teaching secondary school students.
•
Acquainted with British curriculum standards.
•
Adept in planning, assessment, and differentiated instruction tailored to various abilities.
•
Capable of creating engaging lessons that foster literacy, critical thinking, and cultural understanding.
•
Proficient in utilizing digital tools and online learning platforms.
•
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
•
Professional, enthusiastic, and dedicated to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree in English, Humanities, or a related discipline.
•
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent) with QTS or international equivalence.
•
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
