About This Role

Runnymede College, a private non-denominational British institution located in Madrid, provides a British-style education to boys and girls from various nationalities, starting at the age of two and continuing through to eighteen. The curriculum adheres to the British National Curriculum.

Established as a private educational facility in September 1967, the primary division opened its doors in 1987, and since 1990, the entire school has been situated in La Moraleja, in northern Madrid. The school is structured into three sections: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Runnymede College is known for its high academic standards. In June 2025, 57% of our students secured A-A* grades at A level, a notable achievement compared to the 48% of A*-A grades achieved by independent schools across England this year. Furthermore, 67% of our students attained A*-A grades at IGCSE, contrasting with the 48% of A*-A grades at GCSE in the English independent school sector.

Among the graduating class of 2025, an impressive 83% of students heading to the UK will enroll in Top 10 universities as per the Sunday Times Good University Guide rankings. This year's graduates will attend prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE. In the United States, students have begun their higher education journeys at esteemed colleges including Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown.

Several of our students will remain in Spain, enrolling in leading institutions like ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will pursue their studies at top universities throughout Europe, particularly in France and Ireland.

We invite you to be part of a fulfilling and dynamic educational atmosphere, both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates are expected to actively engage in the co-curricular life of the school.
