Job Description:
•
Honor and appreciate each child’s social, cultural, and religious heritage, exemplifying mutual respect and tolerance.
•
Participate in the management of pastoral care, health, wellbeing, and behavior for all students, particularly those in your assigned class.
•
Deliver lessons to a class in alignment with the school’s established policies and guidelines.
•
Employ a range of effective teaching strategies and methods, including differentiation, to ensure that high-quality and rigorous learning occurs.
•
Work collaboratively with grade-level teams to implement conceptually driven, inquiry-based learning units based on the IPC curriculum.
•
Prepare planning documents that outline specific learning objectives, differentiated activities, special needs considerations, extensions, and assessments for the Principal or Senior Leadership Team.
•
Engage in professional discussions with colleagues regarding students, peers, and the school environment, ensuring all information remains confidential.
•
Guarantee equal opportunities for all students.
•
Supervise the teaching, assessment, and progress of students in relation to the UK National Curriculum for English.
•
Motivate children to take pride in their surroundings and cultivate respect and concern for others, contributing to the school’s nurturing community.
•
Oversee all aspects of classroom management, ensuring resources are well-organized and accessible. Maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment.
•
Design a dynamic and engaging classroom atmosphere that fosters independent learning.
•
Collaborate with the Principal and staff in creating and refining effective pupil assessment processes and maintaining moderation portfolios. Keep accurate records of each child's progress and provide reports as needed.
•
Foster positive relationships with the parents of the students you teach.
Who are we looking for:
•

A minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution, comprising no less than three years of full-time study.
•
Teacher Certificate, Diploma, or other Teacher Accreditation courses and certifications are necessary if the applicant’s degree is not in Education.
•
Between 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience in a primary years environment is required. Familiarity with the International Primary Curriculum is advantageous.
•
Knowledge of or a willingness to learn about inquiry-based learning is essential.
•
International experience, particularly in Asia, is highly regarded.
•
Candidates with experience in the Ministry of Education (MOE) are encouraged to apply.
