About This Role

Who we are:

Bellver College is a co-educational, non-denominational day school that was established in 1950, making it the oldest privately owned British school in Spain. Currently, we serve around 200 students aged 3 to 18, welcoming both local and international families in Mallorca. Our one-form-entry approach ensures that class sizes are kept small, with no more than 20 students per form.

The college is located in a residential area just 3 km from the center of Palma de Mallorca, directly opposite the King of Spain's summer residence and close to the beach. Mallorca enjoys a vibrant cultural and economic scene throughout the year, thanks to its favorable climate.

Bellver College is on the lookout for a skilled, thoughtful, and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to spearhead the creation and enhancement of an inclusive support program for students throughout the school.

This is an exceptional chance to establish an SEN program from its inception, crafting systems, practices, and a culture while collaborating closely with a supportive leadership team, dedicated teaching staff, and a seasoned global inclusion consultant. The selected candidate will play a crucial strategic and operational role in ensuring that all students with varied learning needs are empowered to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally within the Bellver College environment.

The SENCO will be responsible for promoting inclusive practices across the school, balancing strategic development with practical coordination, coaching, and teamwork.

This role is perfect for professionals eager to gain experience in international education or those seeking a fresh challenge.

What Bellver College Offers:

● A unique opportunity to create and lead an inclusion program from the ground up.

● A collaborative leadership team that is dedicated to fostering inclusive growth.

● An engaged teaching staff that values learning, reflection, and collaborative problem-solving.

● Continuous professional development and partnership with a global inclusion consultant.

● A friendly international school community in Mallorca.
