Position: Director of Sports

Brookes Moscow, an esteemed international school with a significant global educational impact, is seeking applications for the position of Sports Teacher. This role involves implementing the school’s extensive sports curriculum, which encompasses Primary, Upper, and Senior School levels.

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Sports Teacher to become part of our team. In this pivotal role, the Sports Teacher will be tasked with developing and delivering engaging and challenging sports lessons tailored to students across various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for sports and a dedication to nurturing and inspiring young athletes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Instruct Physical Education across all school divisions, fostering the development of physical literacy, motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.

• Create curriculum units focusing on fitness development, athletics, team sports, individual sports, movement skills, tactical awareness, and wellness education.

• Coach competitive school teams, prepare students for tournaments, and organize inter-house competitions.

• Ensure the safe usage of sports facilities, equipment, gym areas, and outdoor spaces; perform regular safety inspections.

• Collaborate with the Director of Sports in seasonal planning, event organization, and extracurricular activities.

• Support inclusivity by modifying activities for students with various physical or developmental needs.

• Keep accurate records of health, fitness, and student progress.

• Participate in school events and activities.

• Provide First Aid Assistance when necessary; maintain awareness of safety in all environments.

• Actively engage in all staff meetings and participate in In School Coaching.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related field.

• Teaching certification is mandatory.

• Prior experience teaching PE in international or American-style schools is preferred.

• Coaching certifications are advantageous (football, basketball, swimming, athletics, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, basic first aid, and risk assessment.

• High energy, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit. Fluent English is required; knowledge of Russian is a plus.

• Strong safeguarding awareness and capability to supervise large groups safely.

Compensation

$4,000 - $5,500 per month
