About This Role
Location: Chaoyang, Beijing
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Deliver Music education programs designed to meet the varied needs of students (both individually and in groups) in alignment with the YCIS International Curriculum, IGCSE, and IB Diploma as necessary.
• Develop and refine music curriculum documentation and assessment tasks that are consistent with the YCIS International Curriculum, IGCSE, and IB Diploma when applicable.
• Motivate, assist, and mentor fellow educators while working together to incorporate music into the Learning Community framework.
• Efficiently manage the Music budget and prioritize the necessary resources.
• Supervise inventory to ensure it aligns with the requirements of the Music curriculum.
• Participate in the co-curricular music initiatives by engaging in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) as needed.
• Prepare students for key performances.
• Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to formulate a thorough and effective long-term strategy for Music. These responsibilities may evolve to meet the changing needs of the school, as determined by the School Leadership Team in consultation with the Music Specialist.

As an introspective practitioner who actively pursues their own professional advancement—taking into account both the school's goals and personal growth—the Music Specialist is encouraged to fully participate in the training and opportunities provided by the school.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Music along with a teaching certificate or license
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a certified educator
- IB DP experience or qualification is preferred
- A true passion for teaching students
- Strong collaboration skills within a team
- Awareness and responsiveness to student needs
- Commitment to teamwork
- Exemplary conduct as role models for students while maintaining professionalism
