Responsibilities:

  • Create an environment that promotes outstanding Learning and Teaching
  • Set clear learning objectives and delineate instructional and assessment methods
  • Design engaging tasks that captivate students and maintain high levels of interest
  • Establish explicit targets that build upon prior accomplishments
  • Identify students with special educational needs or exceptional talents
  • Develop structured lesson plans that uphold pace, motivation, and challenge
  • Effectively use assessments to ensure thorough coverage of curriculum
  • Analyze performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning, delivering tailored differentiated learning
  • Implement effective teaching practices to maximize instructional time
  • Foster a productive learning atmosphere in accordance with the academy’s protocols, encouraging punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework completion
  • Ensure students acquire and reinforce relevant knowledge, skills, and understanding of the subject matter
  • Efficiently utilize classroom support resources
  • Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and use insights to improve teaching practices
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work while setting progress targets
  • Use performance data to guide planning, ensuring that Learning and Teaching consistently 'adds value'
  • Systematically assess and document student progress, keeping records to track understanding and completion, identify strengths, and address areas for improvement
  • Conduct assessments as required by examination boards, departmental, and academy protocols
