About This Role

Runnymede College, an independent non-denominational British school in Madrid, offers a British educational experience to boys and girls of various nationalities, serving students from ages two through eighteen. The curriculum is aligned with the British National Curriculum.

Founded as a private institution in September 1967, the primary division was established in 1987, and since 1990, the entire school has been situated in La Moraleja in northern Madrid. The school is divided into three main sections: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Runnymede College is proud of its high academic standards. In June 2025, 57% of our students achieved A-A* grades at A level, exceeding the 48% of A*-A grades reported by independent schools in England this year. Furthermore, 67% of our students reached A*-A grades at IGCSE, which is impressive compared to the 48% of A*-A grades in GCSEs within the English independent school sector.

In the graduating cohort of 2025, 83% of students heading to the UK will enroll in Top 10 universities, according to the Sunday Times Good University Guide. This includes prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE. Students in the US have also begun their academic journeys at notable universities like Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown, among others.

Some students will remain in Spain, enrolling in top institutions such as ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will further their studies at esteemed universities across Europe, including those in France and Ireland.

We invite you to be part of a vibrant educational community that goes beyond traditional classroom learning. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about participating in the school’s co-curricular activities.
