The Opportunity
Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City is in search of an inspiring and innovative STEAM and Innovation Teacher to join our outstanding academic team.

This unique role offers the chance to lead transformative, experiential learning that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through interdisciplinary projects grounded in real-world applications. The Role
Job Title: STEAM Teacher
Reporting to: Deputy Head Prep School (Academics) & Deputy Head Senior School (Academics)

Teaching & Learning
• Design and deliver outstanding STEAM lessons across the school, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on learning experiences.
• Include robotics, coding, 3D design, electronics, sustainability, and digital media in projects that encourage innovation and reflect real-world relevance.
• Promote inquiry-based, project-driven learning that links concepts across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience through engaging, student-centered instruction.

Curriculum Innovation & Development
• Create and enhance a forward-thinking STEAM curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum for England and international best practices.
• Lead cross-curricular projects that integrate STEAM with subjects such as English, Humanities, and Arabic.
• Champion the school’s innovation agenda, supporting strategic objectives for digital transformation and preparing students for the future.

Technology Integration
• Employ educational technologies (e.g., microcontrollers, AI platforms, AR/VR, 3D printing, design software) to enhance the learning experience.
• Support colleagues in incorporating technology into their teaching methods.
• Oversee resources in the innovation lab, ensuring the safe and efficient use of tools and materials.

Student Engagement & Enrichment
• Mentor students through STEAM fairs, hackathons, robotics competitions, coding clubs, sustainability initiatives, and other enrichment opportunities.
• Identify and nurture students with special interests or talents in innovation, design, or technology.
• Cultivate a culture of exploration and entrepreneurship, supporting student-led problem-solving efforts.

Collaboration & Professional Development
• Work closely with subject leaders and teachers to co-design interdisciplinary projects.
• Provide workshops and training for staff in STEAM practices and digital pedagogy.
• Stay informed about emerging educational technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.

Compliance & Safeguarding
• Ensure that all activities comply with KHDA standards, MOE guidelines, and school safeguarding policies.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.

The Person

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, Design Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEAM field.
• Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).
• Certifications or training in coding, robotics, design software, or innovation education.
• At least 3 years of successful teaching experience in STEAM or a related subject area.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary projects or innovation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Maker Spaces, innovation labs, or EdTech tools (preferred).

Personal Qualities
• A strong enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and cultivating 21st-century skills.
• High level of digital proficiency and the ability to integrate emerging technologies.
