Scale A Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and highly effective classroom teacher to join our school for a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave position, commencing at the beginning of Term 3, 2026.

Come and teach at our picturesque rural full primary school (Year 1-6), the heart of the Tahuna community. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a progressive, well-resourced school where you can make a real difference for our tamariki.

The Role

We are looking for a teacher who:

• has recent successful teaching experience in New Zealand primary schools


• is a self-motivated team player who is caring, collaborative, and highly organised, with sound curriculum knowledge


• has strengths in literacy and mathematics


• builds and maintains positive relationships with staff, tamariki, and whaanau


• creates a rich learning environment supported by strong, positive classroom management practices


• demonstrates our school vision Learning for Life and upholds our rural values of Integrity, Challenge, Ambition, Respect, and Encourage.

Our school is located just 15 minutes from Morrinsville and within easy reach of Hamilton.
