Finance Assistant (SBMAT) - Level 4
About This Role
The St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Governors, staff and children of St Bart's Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and committed team.
MAIN PLACE OF WORK WILL BE WITHIN THE TRUST'S CENTRAL OFFICE (CURRENTLY BASED at BusinessLodge @ Trent House 234 Victoria Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2LW)

Job Purpose:
To provide specific clerical and administrative or financial functions for the school under the direction or instruction of senior staff.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Provide general finance/clerical support including clerical processes, word processing, IT based tasks requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment
- Produce lists, information and data as requested by senior staff
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems
- Deal with enquiries either by email/telephone or face-to-face
- Undertake general financial administration such as processing orders and undertake basic reconciliation
- Support with the forecasting of budgets and management accounts
- Provide administrative support for meetings and take notes at meetings
- Promote awareness of safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures
- Any other duties appropriate to the post.
- Provide general admin support to the central finance team function
- To work as a member of the central finance team, undertaking general finance duties, which may include invoice entry, resolving queries with suppliers and checking of supplier statements
- To support with the quality assurance of supplier pay runs
