About This Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified subject teacher who resonates with the academic and holistic values characteristic of leading British International Schools. A genuine passion for creating engaging learning experiences, along with a commitment to providing personalized pastoral support for every student and a diverse, enriching curriculum is essential. While previous international teaching experience is not mandatory, a strong desire to work within a truly global community is required. Jerudong International School promotes equal opportunities for all staff, and we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, regardless of the protected characteristics outlined in the 2010 UK Equality Act.

The motto of Jerudong International School students is “Togetherness and Community.” This philosophy is reflected in our Polio Points reward system, which encourages students in Years 7 to 13 to go above and beyond expectations. Students earn Polio Points based on our six key aims: Leadership, Resilience, Communication, Thinking, Engagement, and Integration. These points contribute to donations made to UNICEF as part of the international End Polio movement.

Our school is on a path to becoming a truly sustainable community, with the Green Flag Eco-School initiative playing a crucial role in this mission. We strive to thoughtfully consider our impact on both our local area and the wider world. Additionally, we encourage students to reflect on how their actions can have global repercussions. The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a framework for fostering a more equitable, peaceful, and sustainable world. Our goal is to inspire students to become socially responsible global citizens, equipped to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.

To apply, please fill out the application form available on the TES website, where you can also find more details about the position. Ensure your profile is fully completed, including an up-to-date CV, a recent photograph, and the full contact information (including emails) for three professional referees—one of whom must be your current or most recent headteacher. A covering letter is also required. Please note that incomplete profiles, lack of a covering letter, or failure to submit your CV through TES will lead to application rejection. JIS is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. References will be required before any final interviews, and all post holders will undergo appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks covering the past 10 years of their employment history.

The deadline for applications is Friday, 10th April 2026, but early submissions are encouraged. Initial and final interviews will take place via Google Meet.

Applicants who have not received communication by Friday, 17th April 2026, should assume they have not been shortlisted. The school appreciates their interest.

The chosen candidate must be ready to begin work in August 2026.
