Location: Gillam School

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Gillam School serves as a dynamic learning environment for students from Nursery through Grade 12, situated 304 km north of Thompson on the traditional territory of the Fox Lake Cree Nation. The town of Gillam boasts a flourishing community, featuring a newly-renovated recreation center that includes skating and curling rinks, a community library, a movie theater, and a fitness center. It is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering activities such as fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and hiking. The community is also home to essential amenities, including a hospital, pharmacy, and a Co-op grocery store.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
- A Master’s degree in education or administration and/or a Certificate in School Leadership would be advantageous.
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience as well as five years in an administrative role.
- Strong understanding of provincial curricula.
- Proficiency in school-based technology.
- Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a northern community is also viewed favorably.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
