Aldar Academies is seeking an English Teacher to join Bateen World Academy for the 2026-2027 academic year.

As a leading educational establishment, the school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from FS1 to Year 6, along with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for Years 12 and 13, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience from FS1 through Year 13, blending the best aspects of the PYP, UK, and IB frameworks.

A. Teaching and Learning

  • In-depth knowledge of the British curriculum
  • Organizing classroom resources and creating displays that encourage a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students in the classes taught
  • Inspiring students through dynamic and creative teaching methods
  • Observing and assessing students in line with the school's assessment policy
  • Reflecting on classroom practices, teaching sessions, student progress, and making necessary adjustments to the environment, planning, and curriculum
  • Ensuring the integration of the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.

B. Assessment and Data

  • Taking ownership of the progress of the classes taught
  • Meeting the requirements for evaluating and documenting students' progress using the school's designated assessment system
  • Leveraging assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and interventions
  • Providing parents and guardians with insights on student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

C. Behaviour Management and Duties

  • Complying with the school's Behaviour Policy
  • Effectively managing classrooms using tailored approaches to inspire, motivate, and challenge students
  • Maintaining strong relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority, and acting decisively when necessary within the school's Behaviour Policy
  • Serving as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students
  • Upholding high standards for behavior, fostering self-control and independence among all learners
  • Ensuring the integration of the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
  • Fulfilling assigned duties in accordance with the school's policies.

D. Wider Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborating within a departmental team to support planning, assessment, resources, and special events
  • Assisting in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities, which may take place.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
