About This Role

Our Phorms Campus Berlin Mitte, situated in the vibrant center of the city, houses a nursery, primary school, and secondary school all within a single, welcoming environment. Currently, 930 children and adolescents learn and play together, contributing to a rich international campus community. Our bilingual approach, grounded in the immersion method, is a key element of our international orientation. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified

Teacher in Biology and Chemistry (part-time or full-time, focusing on grades 11 - 12)

to join our secondary school with a scientific and bilingual emphasis starting on 13th August 2026.

Your Responsibilities


Design and deliver engaging, competency-based lessons in Biology and Chemistry for grades 7–12, with a primary focus on upper secondary (grades 11–12)


Develop hands-on, practical lessons that promote scientific thinking through consistent experimentation and inquiry-based learning


Ignite students’ passion for science through engaging experiments and real-world applications


Evaluate student performance through grading and providing feedback on assignments and report cards


Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere


Organize and facilitate parent-teacher conferences and meetings


Incorporate digital media into teaching to enhance educational experiences


Engage in school events, departmental meetings, and team discussions to contribute to the ongoing development of the school

Your Profile


Qualified secondary school teacher with a Master’s degree (e.g., Biology/Chemistry, Science, Secondary Education, or equivalent), or a PGCE/PGDE with QTS


Demonstrated teaching experience in Biology and Chemistry, preferably within a secondary school environment


A desire to enhance and advance the scientific profile of our institution


Interest in creating and executing educational strategies that cater to individual student needs


Comfort and curiosity in utilizing modern technologies such as AI and digital media to enrich learning experiences


Commitment to our bilingual, student-focused educational philosophy


Enjoyment in collaboration with colleagues in the upper secondary team and willingness to share responsibilities
