IBDP/HSD Design Technology Specialist Teacher
The Hamilton International School invites applications for an exceptional Design Technology Specialist Teacher to become part of our growing Secondary team. Instruct Design Technology for Grades 6–8 and Grades 9–12 (HSD / IBDP / A Level pathways).
•
Deliver stimulating and demanding lessons that encourage innovation and high achievement.
•
Plan, create, and develop curriculum and departmental resources.
•
Evaluate, track, and document student progress, utilizing data to enhance outcomes.
•
Tailor instruction to address diverse learner needs while ensuring advancement for all.
•
Maintain excellent communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
•
Uphold high standards of classroom management, behavior, and safety.
•
Actively participate in extracurricular activities and the broader school community.

What We’re Looking For
•
A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field related to Design Technology.
•
A valid teaching certification that complies with Qatar MoEHE requirements.
•
At least 3 years of successful experience in teaching Design Technology.
•
Experience in teaching Design Technology at High School Diploma, IB DP, or A Level (experience in IB DP DT is highly desirable).
•
A solid understanding of contemporary DT pedagogy, encompassing product design, digital tools, materials, and design processes.
•
Exceptional communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities.
•
A reflective, cooperative, and innovative educator who is dedicated to ongoing improvement.
•
Fluency in English is essential.
Required Skills & Knowledge
•
A comprehensive understanding of DT curriculum and assessment methodologies.
•
Capability to create engaging, hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Familiarity with digital design tools and DT workshop equipment (preferred).
