Primary Homeroom Teacher (German Language)

Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Teaching & Learning
•
Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in the German language and [Subjects], following the established curriculum of the school.
•
Employ a range of instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels.
•
Integrate language learning goals with [Subjects] content to strengthen academic language skills across both areas.
•
Effectively leverage educational technology to enhance student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
2. Assessment & Reporting
•
Design and implement both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress in German and [Subjects].
•
Provide timely, constructive feedback that students can act upon.
•
Maintain accurate records of student performance and create thorough student reports.
•
Analyze assessment results to inform future teaching strategies and interventions.
3. Classroom Management & Student Support
•
Cultivate a safe, respectful, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
•
Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and classroom procedures.
•
Identify and address the unique learning needs of all students, including those requiring additional challenges or support.
4. Professional & Community Engagement
•
Collaborate with colleagues in both the Language and [Subject] departments.
•
Actively participate in departmental meetings, school-wide training sessions, and professional development initiatives.
•
Maintain effective, professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning student progress.
•
Contribute to the overall school community by engaging in events, clubs, or committees.
Qualifications & Requirements
•
Education & Certification
•
A Bachelor's degree in Education, German, [Subjects], or a closely related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred.
•
A valid teaching certification/license that qualifies you to instruct both German and [Subject] at the appropriate educational level.
•
Experience
•
A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in German and [Subjects].
•
Language Proficiency
•
Native or near-native fluency in German (C2 level according to CEFR).
•
Professional proficiency in English sufficient for collaboration, reporting, and communication within the school setting.
•
Knowledge & Skills
•
In-depth understanding of German language teaching methodologies and [Subjects].
•
Strong knowledge of principles related to second language acquisition.
•
Outstanding classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•
Ability to effectively use standard educational tools and platforms.
