Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant at Wheelock Primary School!

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at Wheelock Primary School, part of the Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a forward-thinking school that values collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.

About the Role

  • Position: Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 31.25 per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30am start)
  • Weeks: Term time only (39 weeks per year)
  • Salary: £18,644 (actual)(Apprenticeship will differ)
  • Contract: Temporary, linked to SEN funding (until 31st August 2027, reviewed prior to this date)(Apprenticeship will differ)

You will primarily support a child on a 1:1 basis, while also working with small groups inside and outside the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher.

Apprentice Opportunity

At Wheelock Primary School, we recognise that the right candidate is not always the one with the most experience or qualifications. If you can demonstrate the enthusiasm, commitment, and potential to make a positive difference to children's learning, but do not yet hold the required qualifications, we may be able to offer a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship through an approved training provider.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment while working towards a recognised qualification and developing a rewarding career in education.
