Join our vibrant and supportive specialist school on Auckland’s North Shore.
Our base school is in Hauraki, with satellite classes in five other schools across the shore. We cater to students with special needs aged 5–21, offering small classes of eight students, supported by a dedicated team of teachers, teacher aides, and therapists.
We are looking for a teacher who naturally embeds creativity into their daily practice and makes learning fun. As a practitioner, you will enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, all focused on supporting the learning and development of each student.
Due to the geographical nature of our school, a full driving license is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to:
develop a love of learning
create innovative approaches to delivering the curriculum
relate well with students, whānau, staff, and other agencies
work collaboratively to develop personalised goals and monitor achievement.
Experience working with young people with Autism and structured learning environments is desirable.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the relevant collective agreement(Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement). The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61329 to $103086, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. The individual’s actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
Applicants must hold registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
