Job Detail
We are seeking a Teacher of Science, preferably with a specialism in Biology, to join our highly effective Science Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a committed group of teachers who place students at the heart of learning.
The ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning science.
Be able to teach all sciences at KS3 and KS4.
Have experience teaching Biology at GCSE.
Have experience teaching A Level Biology, or a willingness to do so (desirable).
Make effective use of practical work, demonstrations, and a range of creative teaching approaches to engage and challenge students.
Show a commitment to staying up to date with current scientific developments and making effective use of technology and digital tools to enhance learning in the science classroom.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum and departmental resources
Deliver high-quality teaching with strong pastoral awareness.
Use data effectively to support student progress.
Hold a recognised science degree and an appropriate teaching qualification.
Be committed to professional development and ongoing improvement.
