About This Role
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons for KS3 students, with potential to teach IGCSE Science.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student curiosity and scientific inquiry.
Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide targeted feedback.
Collaborate with the Science department to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.
Support the school’s extracurricular programs, such as Science clubs, competitions, or STEM projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching Science within the British curriculum, preferably at KS3 and IGCSE levels.
Familiarity with IGCSE Science syllabi (e.g., Cambridge or Edexcel).
Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
