We are currently seeking a dedicated Head of EAL to lead and develop our whole-school English as an Additional Language provision. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL or a related field Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent Additional qualification in EAL, TESOL or language acquisition is desirable Minimum of 3 years experience supporting students with English as an additional language Experience leading or coordinating EAL provision or a similar inclusion role Strong understanding of second language acquisition and effective EAL strategies Experience working with multilingual learners in an international school context Ability to design and implement whole-school EAL strategy and provision Strong classroom practice, including co-teaching and in-class support models Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills Passionate about inclusion and ensuring equitable access to learning for all students Commitment to developing high-quality, whole-school EAL provision Strong belief that language development is a shared responsibility across all teachers Collaborative mindset with the ability to coach and support colleagues Enthusiastic about supporting multilingual learners to achieve academic success Adaptable and forward-thinking with a commitment to continuous improvement Dedicated to developing confident, independent and successful learners If you are enthusiastic about leading and developing a high-quality EAL programme within an international school setting, we invite you to apply for this rewarding role at Astra Academy International School.
