Teacher of English as an Additional Language - Possible Head of Department role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Head of EAL to lead and develop our whole-school English as an Additional Language provision. Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL or a related field

• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent

• Additional qualification in EAL, TESOL or language acquisition is desirable

• Minimum of 3 years experience supporting students with English as an additional language

• Experience leading or coordinating EAL provision or a similar inclusion role

• Strong understanding of second language acquisition and effective EAL strategies

• Experience working with multilingual learners in an international school context

• Ability to design and implement whole-school EAL strategy and provision

• Strong classroom practice, including co-teaching and in-class support models

• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
