Teacher of Art with Subject Lead for Art

We are seeking a highly motivated Teacher of Art with Subject Lead for Art who combines excellent classroom practice with the vision and leadership skills to drive the continued development of Art across the school. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring creativity, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and promoting a culture of excellence within the department.

Our Head of Expressive Arts would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.

As Teacher of Art with Subject Lead for Art, you will be welcomed into an experienced team of professionals to:

• Progress the Art department to even greater successes.
• Lead and develop the Art curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the subject area.
• Monitor student progress and drive improvements in attainment and achievement in Art.
• Support, inspire and contribute to the professional development of colleagues within the department.
• Plan and deliver high-quality and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire our students.
• Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour.
• Engage students in study at GCSE and BTEC Tech Award at Key Stage 4 (A-Level/BTEC Level 3 are desirable).
• Promote enrichment opportunities, exhibitions and wider participation in Art across the school.
• Manage and develop departmental resources to support outstanding learning experiences.
• Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives.
