About This Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and inspiring leader and educator who resonates with the academic and holistic principles upheld by premier British International Schools. A genuine passion for creating an enchanting learning environment, along with a commitment to providing personalized pastoral care for each student, is essential. We offer a diverse and fulfilling enrichment curriculum. While prior overseas experience is not mandatory, a willingness to thrive in a truly international community is vital. Jerudong International School champions equality of opportunity for all staff, and we welcome applications from individuals regardless of any protected characteristics under the 2010 UK Equality Act.

School Ethos

The motto of Jerudong International School students is “Togetherness and Community.” This ethos is embodied in our Polio Points reward system, which encourages students from Year 7 to 13 to exceed expectations in their actions. Our reward system aligns with six core student objectives: Leadership, Resilience, Communication, Thinking, Engagement, and Integration. Students earn Polio Points, contributing to the international End Polio movement and directly supporting donations to UNICEF.

Sustainability Commitment

We are committed to evolving into a genuinely sustainable school community, with the Green Flag Eco-School initiative playing a crucial role in this endeavor. Our goal is to consider the impact of our actions on both our local community and the global context. We encourage students to look beyond the school grounds and understand the global implications of their actions. The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a framework for fostering a more equitable, peaceful, and sustainable world for all. Our vision is to inspire students to become socially responsible global citizens equipped to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.

Application Process

To apply, please fill out the application form on the WhatSchool platform. Ensure your profile is fully completed, including an up-to-date CV with a recent photograph and full contact details (including email addresses) for three (3) professional referees, one of whom should be your current or most recent headteacher. A covering letter is also required. Please note that incomplete profiles, lack of a covering letter, or failure to submit your CV through the WhatSchool platform will lead to the rejection of your application. JIS is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. References will be requested prior to final interviews. All appointees will undergo appropriate vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalents covering the past 10 years of employment history.
