About This Role

Bloom World Academy is seeking a nurturing, skilled, and dedicated SENDco (Primo / Junior School) to join our team from August 2026.

As an IB World School, Bloom World Academy is committed to inclusive, child-centred education that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of every learner. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to early identification and intervention, working collaboratively to support students in the Primo and Junior sections with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

You will have experience of, or a strong understanding of, inquiry-based and play-informed learning approaches, and be skilled in adapting provision to meet the needs of young learners with SEND. You will support students both in-class and through targeted interventions, ensuring they are able to access the curriculum and build confidence as independent learners.

The successful candidate will be a warm, reflective practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young children, colleagues, and parents. You will demonstrate high standards of written and verbal communication and a genuine passion for inclusion, wellbeing, and advocacy.

We are seeking an experienced SENDco who can work closely with class teachers, phase leaders, and parents to support students across the Primo and Junior School. You will contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), support high-quality differentiation, and promote inclusive classroom practice across the section.

Experience of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is highly desirable, though not essential, as full training will be provided. You will bring strong knowledge of early childhood and primary SEND provision, assessment for learning, and evidence-based intervention strategies, with a clear focus on helping students achieve their full potential.
