Secondary Technology Teacher
About This Role
This is a full-time teaching position in our Technology department. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students according to the set curricular standards while fostering a safe and supportive learning environment rooted in the love of Jesus for all children. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
-Leading Chapel or SEL lessons
-Supervising students in various contexts
-Attending and contributing to departmental and whole-school meetings
-Collaborating on a variety of school improvement initiatives
-Corresponding with parents, colleagues, and administration
-Engaging in regular professional development opportunities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ā Design, develop, and facilitate safe and meaningful learning experiences for students
that promote respect for all.
ā Teach specific grade level subject matter to a diverse student population, following the
Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) standards.
ā Submit timely unit plans and lesson plans for classes assigned within the semester
ā Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments that are purposeful and
appropriate for the content and student population
ā Help the students achieve the learning objectives by providing constructive feedback
based on formative and summative assessments
ā Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, fellow staff, and other
stakeholders in ways that can further enhance student learning
ā Co-develop the technology curriculum along with the Head of Technology and
Technology Specialist.
ā Co-facilitate the robotics teams along with a team of robotics coaches.
ā Coordinate with principals, division heads, and Head of Technology to ensure tasks are
completed and evaluated.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ā Candidate possesses a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree, in Computer
Science/ Computing/ Information Technology/Instructional Design/Educational
Technology/Design Technology or equivalent. Candidates with a degree in allied fields
such as Mathematics, Engineering and Science will be considered as well. A master's
degree is a plus.
ā At least 1 year of working experience in teaching
ā Certifications are a plus (Google Certified Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, Apple
Teacher, etc.)
ā Willingness to grow professionally and to contribute to the team and school leadership
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
ā Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
ā Prior knowledge in computer programming and educational robotics is an advantage
ā Proficiency in software applications related to graphic design and web development
ā Individual with a can-do attitude, willing to learn, team player, and result driven.
ā Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
ā Fluent in English language, both oral and written
Compensation
-Starting salary of around ąøæ530,000-ąøæ800,000+. Salary increases according to and depending on type(s) of degree(s), teaching certification, pre-ICSN experience, and years of experience at ICSN.
