Job Overview
In this role you will deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across the Secondary School and contribute to a dynamic and inclusive sports programme This role offers the potential to lead and further develop the school’s athletics provision with Athletics and Activities Coordinator possible.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and teach Physical Education across the Secondary School (IGCSE level)
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote fitness, skills development, and teamwork
Organise and lead extracurricular sports teams, clubs, and competitions
Support and develop the school’s athletics programme and competitive fixtures
Monitor student progress and promote participation, wellbeing, and sportsmanship
Contribute to school events and the wider school community
Take on leadership responsibilities in the athletics coordinator/director role, where appropriate
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school
Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence
Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum
Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written
Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning
Experience teaching IGCSE PE preferred
Strong coaching experience in one or more sports
Ability to lead and organise extracurricular sports programmes
