Position Overview:
The Science Teacher (MYP) delivers engaging, inquiry-based Science instruction to students in Grades 6–10 as part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The teacher plans, implements, and assesses learning experiences that develop students’ scientific knowledge, skills, and global mindedness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Science subjects (e.g., Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics) according to the IB MYP framework.
• Design and deliver lessons that emphasize inquiry, conceptual understanding, and real-world application.
• Develop unit plans aligned with MYP objectives and the school’s scope and sequence.
• Use a range of assessment strategies to measure student progress against MYP criteria.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and language abilities.
• Promote interdisciplinary learning through collaboration with other subject teachers.
• Supervise and guide students during science projects, experiments, and lab activities, ensuring safety and responsible practice.
• Support students with the MYP Personal Project or other relevant projects, if applicable.
• Maintain accurate student records, reports, and parent communications.
• Participate in regular school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development.
• Contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities, science fairs, clubs, or events.
• Uphold the school’s mission, IB learner profile, and academic policies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or relevant field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science).
• Teaching qualification/license.
• Minimum [insert years, e.g., 2–3 years] teaching experience, preferably within the IB MYP or an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and MYP framework.
• Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
• Proficiency in English (or school’s language of instruction).
