School Governor

You do not need to be a parent, have a connection with the school or work in education to become a governor.

We welcome people with different skills, backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.

Professional knowledge in areas such as finance, human resources, marketing, communications, data analysis, or organisational leadership would strengthen our governing board.

Equally important are curiosity, sound judgement, a willingness to ask constructive questions and a genuine commitment to improving opportunities for children.

Governors attend up to six evening meetings each year, which rarely last longer than two hours. The role also involves reading papers in preparation for meetings, undertaking appropriate training, and making occasional visits to see the school in action.
