Scale A Teacher - Year 7 and 8

We are excited to be able to offer a scale A teacher position in our learning whānau here at Te Whai Hiringa. Position commencing in mid-Term 2 2026.

The successful applicant must first be a teacher who cares about their students. Relationships are paramount in our school, and you must be patient and kind and build trust with our tamariki. All applicants are welcome.

We live our 3 kete: Māramatanga, Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga. They are the basis for our kura. We are proudly working on indigenising our curriculum to reflect the identity of our students and their whānau. The successful applicants will be on their te reo Māori me ngā tikanga learning journey. We need teachers who understand that a child’s identity is central to their wellbeing and know how to value and respect each child’s kete of knowledge that they bring to their learning daily. The key for any teacher at our kura is that you love tamariki!
