We are seeking the right person to join our team in 2026 and are re-advertising an existing RTLB vacancy. (Start date by negotiation).

Do you want to make a difference beyond your own classroom?

This is an opportunity to step into a role where your impact extends across Years 0–10 in a diverse range of schools. As an itinerant practitioner based at our Papatoetoe Intermediate hub (8am–4pm), you will work alongside teachers and leaders to strengthen inclusive practice and support learners with additional needs to thrive.

At Manawanui Cluster 10, we believe meaningful change happens through partnership. We are a collegial, supportive, and reflective team who value professional dialogue, shared learning, and collective responsibility. You will join skilled practitioners committed to ongoing growth for themselves and the schools we serve.

The RTLB role offers the opportunity to influence practice across multiple settings, experience variety and challenge, build meaningful professional partnerships, and engage in ongoing professional learning. Postgraduate university study through Massey University (Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching) is a compulsory but supported part of the role.

We seek experienced RTLB or skilled teachers ready to extend their leadership and coaching capability and contribute to inclusive, sustainable change. Applicants will demonstrate strong New Zealand teaching experience (particularly structured literacy and numeracy), leadership and mentoring strengths and a reflective approach.

To learn more about the role, contact Tamara Gersbach at tamarag@rtlbcluster10.school.nz.

Essential requirements: recognised teaching degree (meeting Massey entry requirements), full NZ Teacher Registration, right to work in NZ, and a full current driver’s licence with access to a reliable vehicle.

To apply, request an application form from Farihah at admin@rtlbcluster10.school.nz and submit your CV, cover letter, and completed form. Include your current Principal as a referee.

Applications reviewed as received.
