Release Kaiako

Maidstone Intermediate kura is a thriving Intermediate located in Upper Hutt. We currently have 18 classes that are split into five rōpū across the kura. We have a diverse range of learners that come from a variety of contributing kura.

We are seeking a release kaiako for the next two terms. Ideally, we are looking for someone to do 0.8. However, for the right kaiako we would look to be flexible with less or more. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic kaiako who has the ability to work collaboratively and maximise opportunities in our innovative learning environment. We seek applicants who bring positive energy to the classroom, and are willing to engage in all aspects of kura life.

As an Intermediate kura, we prioritise our extracurricular opportunities with the same value as our academic programmes. Sports, performing arts programmes, clubs, cultural rōpū, ākonga leadership and many more opportunities abound for our eager ākonga. Kaiako are encouraged to add their strengths and passions to supporting this holistic approach to our ākonga development. The successful applicant must be positive, enthusiastic and adaptable.
