About This Role

We are urgently recruiting for this position and will prioritise candidates who are already based in China.

Job Description:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality and engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and/or International Primary Curriculum (IPC) standards.
2. Take primary responsibility for teaching core subjects, typically including English, Mathematics, Science, and Topic/Theme-based learning.
3. Employ differentiated teaching strategies to address the diverse needs, abilities, interests, and learning styles of students within the class.
4. Effectively utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and ensure each student achieves established learning goals.
5. Serve as the primary pastoral caregiver for homeroom students, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and kind classroom community.
6. Identify and support students with special educational needs in collaboration with the learning support department.
7. Continuously document and evaluate students’ academic performance and personal development.
8. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
9. Collaborate effectively with grade-level teams, specialist teachers, and teaching assistants.
10. Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities, adhering to all school policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE; minimum of two years of experience as a homeroom teacher in an international school setting.
2. Solid understanding and practical experience with the English National Curriculum and/or International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
3. Experience teaching EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
4. Demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated instruction and manage a classroom in a multicultural international school environment; familiarity with integrating various educational technology tools into teaching.
5. Genuine passion for working with children, accompanied by patience, compassion, and empathy.
6. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks effectively.
7. Committed to being a lifelong learner, dedicated to continuous professional development and reflective practice.


Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
