We are seeking to appoint an outstanding EYFS & Primary PE / Swimming Teacher to join our team from August 2026 (Academic Year 2026β2027)
Located in Al Barsha South, Dubai Heights Academy school opened in 2017. It offers an inclusive, exciting and outstanding education to an international community of students from FS1 to Year 12 (2025-2026) and will continue to grow organically to Year 13.
The campus is state-of-the-art with separate buildings for each phase as well as a 380 seat auditorium. There are three temperature controlled swimming pools, fully equipped science and computer labs, specialist rooms for art, DT, music, and drama, a library, two multipurpose sports halls, a full size football pitch, a variety of outdoor play areas and a spacious canteen. Our sprawling 292,000 sqft campus boasts 3 buildings dedicated for each phase, and we are thrilled to announce the recent opening of our brand new secondary building in August 2025, marking our most ambitious project yet.
Dubai Heights Academy provides a curriculum that meets the needs of all of our students and follows the National Curriculum for England as the basis of its curriculum. This has been tailored to comply with local requirements and supplemented with Arabic language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education and Social Studies. In addition, Dubai Heights Academy has partnered with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to develop and deliver a bespoke AI (artificial intelligence) project-based programme for secondary and an early language programme using social robots for Primary, to further enrich our broad and balanced curriculum.

Job Overview
Dubai Heights Academy is seeking applications from a dynamic and talented teacher who has excellent subject knowledge in the National Curriculum for England and who is able to contribute to continued improvements in student progress and attainment.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge
At least 3 years experience of the National Curriculum for England
Strong experience delivering Physical Education across EYFS and Primary phases, with a clear understanding of developmentally appropriate practice. This includes the teaching and progression of fundamental movement skills (balance, coordination, agility) in EYFS and structured sport and athletics development through Key Stage 1 and 2.
The successful candidate will hold (or be working towards) relevant Level 2 qualifications or above in a range of primary physical education disciplines, including:
Athletics β Level 2 (or equivalent), with experience delivering track and field fundamentals at primary level
Basketball β Level 2 / Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification
Cricket β Level 2 (or equivalent ECB qualification) or above, with experience delivering fundamental batting, bowling and fielding skills at primary level
Dance β Relevant Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification, with experience delivering both creative and curriculum dance
Football β Level 2 (or equivalent) or above
Gymnastics β Level 2 (or equivalent), with experience teaching floor work, apparatus and fundamental movement patterns
Hockey β Level 2 (or equivalent) or above
Netball β Level 2 (or equivalent National Governing Body qualification) or above
Rounders β Level 2 (or equivalent) or above
Rugby β Level 2 (or equivalent RFU qualification) or above, with experience delivering tag and contact fundamentals appropriate to primary age
Swimming β Minimum Swim England Level 2 qualification, with proven confidence leading primary-age swimming sessions
