Over 2's Kaiako

We are looking for a caring, passionate kaiako to join our over 2's space and become part of our preschool whānau.

About us:

We are a community-based preschool where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our programme is play-based and nature focused, encouraging tamariki to explore, take risks, and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences in our environment. 

We are committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi through daily practice, with a growing bicultural curriculum that reflects te ao Māori, values manaakitanga, and supports tamariki to develop a strong sense of belonging. We work in partnership with whānau to ensure each child's identity, culture, and learning journey is respected and celebrated. 

What we're looking for:

• Confident in assessment, planning, and curriculum
• Has strong understanding of Te Whāriki
• Is passionate about nature-based and play-based learning
• Embraces and supports a bicultural approach in practice
• Builds genuine, respectful relationships with tamariki and their whānau
• Brings a calm, positive presence and works well as part of a team.
