Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Math/Science Teacher to join our team in August 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in Mathematics and Science, fostering students’ understanding, critical thinking, and love of learning. The teacher will design and implement engaging lessons, creative activities, and innovative approaches that meet the learning needs of all students within the British Curriculum framework.

The Math/Science Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, assessing, and reporting on student progress while maintaining a stimulating and safe classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Instructional Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Science for the assigned grade levels.

  • Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines and submit them to the Primary Lead for approval.

  • Incorporate technology, interactive resources, and practical activities to enhance learning.

  • Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

  • Create worksheets, handouts, and other learning materials to support lesson objectives.

2. Assessment and Evaluation
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress and development.

  • Mark assignments and examinations promptly and provide constructive feedback.

  • Identify students requiring additional support and ensure they receive appropriate interventions.

3. Curriculum Development
  • Review feedback from academic coordinators and refine lesson plans accordingly.

  • Keep up-to-date with new teaching strategies, learning aids, and technological tools.

  • Ensure all lesson plans and assessments meet curriculum standards (UK/I/GCSE).

4. Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with other teachers to share teaching strategies, resources, and professional knowledge.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress during meetings and as needed.

  • Participate in school events, professional development workshops, and interdisciplinary projects.

Skills and Competencies
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK/IGCSE Mathematics and Science curriculum frameworks.

  • Instructional Expertise: Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that promote student understanding and enthusiasm.

  • Assessment Skills: Proficient in formative and summative assessment, tracking student progress, and providing clear feedback.

  • Classroom Management: Effective management that fosters a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.

  • Technology Integration: Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and parent communication skills.

  • Professionalism: Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to school policies and values.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in Mathematics and Science.

  • BA in Primary Education or relevant specialization in Mathematics and Science.

  • Familiarity with UK / IGCSE curriculum standards.

  • Previous experience in an international school environment is preferred.

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
