About This Role

The appointed
candidate will:
- work with groups of children, identified as needing additional
pastoral care. - support teachers in identifying and implementing strategies that
will help children to self-regulate and access learning, including reviewing
behaviour related targets as required. - contribute to the development and delivery
of programmes which assist children and young people to develop positive
attitudes towards themselves and others, encourage enhanced motivation, self-esteem
and educational achievement. - Work with individuals or small groups of
children on specific aspects of need through a range of strategies and
structured interventions. - Help identify personal, community, family
and school based issues which are having an adverse effect on individual
children and young people. - work closely alongside our Learning Mentor to engage with outside
agencies and families to support children in and beyond school. - Teach whole classes or groups of children, as required,
particularly to cover absence or release time.
