Deputy Headteacher - Personal Development, Curriculum & Sixth Form

Essential Requirements

Qualifications and Training:

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Degree

Experience:

• Successful senior leadership and management experience in a secondary school.
• Teaching experience
• Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning, with evidence of improving provision, outcomes, student experience or progression.
• Demonstrable experience of successful line management and staff development

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of curriculum design, implementation and evaluation, including the ability to support subject leaders to develop ambitious, well-sequenced provision.
• Understanding of high-quality teaching, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
• Strong knowledge of personal development, PSHE, careers education, enrichment, student leadership and preparation for adulthood.
• Understanding of post-16 pathways, including academic, vocational and foundation routes, and the ability to develop provision in partnership with other schools and Trust leaders.
• Understanding of school finances and financial management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate a vision and inspire others
• Ability to build effective working relationships
