About This Role

Sir William Stanier School is an ambitious and improving 11-16 secondary school at the heart of the Crewe community. We are committed to ensuring every student experiences a high-quality education within a culture of ambition, respect and belonging, where all young people are supported to achieve their full potential.

As part of The Learning Partnership, we are on an exciting journey of school improvement, driven by a clear vision to provide exceptional opportunities and outcomes for all students. We are proud of our inclusive ethos and our commitment to developing confident, resilient and successful young people who are prepared for their future lives.

We know that great schools are built by great people. Staff wellbeing, professional development and collaboration are central to our culture. We invest significantly in developing our staff through high-quality CPD, leadership development opportunities and strong support networks both within the school and across the Trust. Our staff work together with a shared commitment to achieving the very best for our students and fostering a culture where everyone can thrive.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher for Culture and Behaviour to join our senior leadership team from January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of our school's development.

The successful candidate will lead on behaviour, attitudes, attendance and culture, ensuring that Sir William Stanier School remains a safe, inclusive and aspirational environment where students and staff feel valued and supported. Working closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team, you will help drive school improvement, strengthen safeguarding culture and promote the highest standards of conduct, attendance and personal development. You will be passionate about creating the conditions in which every student can succeed, regardless of their starting point or background.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will provide strategic leadership, inspire colleagues through your example and contribute significantly to the direction and success of the school. You will embody the values and vision of The Learning Partnership, promoting a culture of high expectations, accountability and continuous improvement.

The Trust subscribes to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter and is committed to placing staff wellbeing at the heart of its people strategy. Our employee benefits include:

  • Discounts at retail stores, entertainment venues and supermarkets
  • Affordable technology, Cycle to Work, gym membership and vehicle schemes
  • Employee Assistance Programme, including counselling and specialist advice
  • Free on-site parking
  • Access to high-quality professional development and leadership opportunities across the Trust

This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people and to join a school and Trust committed to excellence, inclusion and continuous improvement.
