Deputy Curriculum Director for Social Sciences

Wellsway School and IKB Academy are seeking a passionate and innovative Deputy Curriculum Director for Social Sciences to join our team. The role offers the chance to be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Social Science curriculum area at all Key Stages in liaison with the Director of Humanities, helping to make a lasting difference to the lives of our learners.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has successful experience of teaching GCSE and A Level, evidenced by good outcomes
• Builds positive relationships and works well in a team
• Has a good Honours degree (in a subject relevant to the position) and has Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of completion of induction
• Has a sound understanding of the principles of effective leadership and management
• Shares our belief that every child deserves the very best opportunities
