Hauraki Plains College is more than a school – it is a place where young people are supported to be learning ready, work ready, life ready, and world ready. We offer an educational experience built on care, connection and high expectations.
We are seeking a building and construction teacher to join our team. Our thriving technology department has a proven track record of innovative projects, ranging from tiny homes to full-size houses. This role initially focuses on senior furniture and senior building & construction classes for 2026, with the 2027 timetable remaining flexible to meet evolving student needs
Please note any additional curriculum areas you can teach. Untrained teachers with relevant work experience are welcome to apply, as we have the ability to support suitable candidates into further tertiary education.
Our college has a collaborative and supportive staff culture and is committed to our vision: Excellence is Our Tradition. Ongoing professional learning and development is a valued part of how we grow and respond to the needs of our students and the evolving education landscape.
This is a full-time, permanent teaching position with an anticipated start date of 20 April 2026 (negotiable).
Hauraki Plains is a great place to live and work, with a range of welcoming communities nearby. We enjoy strong connections with our local primary schools and wider community.
