Assistant Principal

With the recent promotion of one of our staff to the position of principal at another school, the opportunity now exists for an aspirational school leader to join our senior leadership team and kura here at Waitākere College.  Start Term 3 or sooner, by negotiation.

The successful candidate must have a recognised teaching career in New Zealand, have proven successful leadership roles within schools they have taught and lead curriculum change.

• Proven leadership in the senior secondary setting
• Ambition, initiative and a strong work ethic
• The ability to quickly form positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community
• A strong commitment to culturally responsive practice 

Applicants will be able to clearly articulate their educational philosophy and be an outstanding teacher and role model. The role has a classroom teaching component.
