About This Role

Institut auf dem Rosenberg invites applications from exceptional teachers of Visual Arts with experience in IB, AP and/or A-Level programmes to join its distinguished Art Department. The successful candidate will have experience supporting or coordinating within an art department and be able to teach across a range of visual arts disciplines, including drawing, painting, photography, architecture, graphic design and related creative fields. The role requires a teacher capable of engaging intellectually ambitious international students, bringing creativity, intellectual curiosity and flexibility to the classroom.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates that: 
  • Are passionate teachers of Visual Arts who embrace project-based and inquiry-driven learning.

  • Demonstrate a consistent record of outstanding academic outcomes, excellent classroom management, and highly effective differentiation.

  • Have experience teaching students across a range of age groups and abilities, adapting instruction to support highly motivated international learners.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in digital creative tools and workflows, including Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Have experience preparing students for exhibitions, portfolios, or international competitions.

  • Show a commitment to the ongoing development of their artistic and pedagogical practice, and openness to expanding their expertise into additional creative disciplines.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Rosenberg International Curriculum®.

  • Actively contribute to the school’s Talent & Enrichment programme and wider academic life.

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead initiatives independently while collaborating effectively within a high-performing department.

Requirements - ideal candidates will have:  
  • an appropriate degree with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification

  • relevant teaching experience in secondary or international school contexts

  • the ability to teach across International GCSE, A-Level, IB Diploma and AP/US High School Diploma programmes

  • a proven track record of guiding students to outstanding results in external examinations

  • a strong commitment to the values, ethos and continued development of Institut auf dem Rosenberg
