About This Role

Dallington School, located in Madrid, is seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join our Primary and Secondary Team.  We offer a dynamic and supportive environment where educators inspire students through their creative, enthusiastic and rigorous application of the UK curriculum.

Subjects: Art – KS2 and KS3, with at least 3 years experience preparing students for IGCSE Art Cambridge Programme.

About the Role

As an Art Teacher at Dallington School, you will deliver engaging, creative, and structured lessons aligned with the British curriculum. You will nurture students’ artistic expression, confidence, and technical skills, while helping them develop a strong foundation in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and visual analysis.

Experience in supporting or preparing students for IGCSE Art & Design is highly valued, as we seek to strengthen the transition from KS3 into exam-level coursework.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Art within the British curriculum

  • Strong knowledge of Art teaching methodologies in KS2, KS3 and KS4.

  • Experience with IGCSE Art & Design curriculum delivery or preparation

  • Ability to design inspiring, hands-on lessons and high‑quality visual arts projects

  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning and digital portfolios

  • Native level of English
