Teacher – EYFS (KG – 4-5 yr olds) (JobRef#A157-26-27)

The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering exceptional, child-focused education tailored to the needs of all students within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), guided by the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, the Development Matters guidance, and the Cayman Islands Early Years Inspection Framework (2024).

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the role will encompass, but not be limited to:

• Teaching a diverse, balanced, inquiry-based, and customized EYFS curriculum.
• Collaborating closely with the Early Years Team to create long, medium, and short-term plans across all subjects.
• Working in partnership with parallel class teachers, subject specialists, and learning support staff.
• Offering rich child-initiated and adult-initiated learning experiences through continuous provision, teacher-led, collaborative inquiry, and targeted instruction to support, meet, and challenge the needs of all learners.
• Designing and maintaining engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces that encourage curiosity, independence, and exploration.
• Conducting ongoing, thorough assessments aligned with the Development Matters framework and adhering to school policies and EYFS baselines.
• Keeping precise records of students’ progress and achievement, utilizing assessment data to inform teaching strategies.
• Fostering and sustaining positive relationships with all members of the school community.
• Creating and maintaining a stimulating and supportive educational environment.
• Engaging in a variety of extracurricular activities, including leading clubs.
• Upholding and fully supporting the Christian ethos of the school.

The qualifications, experience, and skills required for this position include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field alongside an internationally recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed.
• A minimum of three years of recent experience teaching a British-based curriculum.
• Up-to-date knowledge and experience in teaching the revised Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 (EYFS) and the ability to model and facilitate the Development Matters framework.
• Familiarity with the Cayman Islands Early Years Inspection Framework (2024).
• Exceptional classroom practice, with a passion for nurturing student learning through creative and innovative approaches.
• Proven experience in providing tailored learning opportunities to support, meet, and challenge the needs of all learners is essential.
• Proficiency in utilizing Management Information Systems (SIMS) and Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to ensure all record-keeping is current.
• Previous experience in a multicultural international school setting is advantageous.

The salary range for this position is CI$50,700.00 – CI$69,950.00 per year, commensurate with experience, according to the school’s salary scale. Benefits include:
