Teacher - Science (Chemistry) (Job Ref# B197-26-27)

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemistry along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed in Chemistry or a related science discipline. A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Chemistry at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is required, with the capability to teach an additional subject within the Science Faculty up to Key Stage 4 (GCSE Level). The successful applicant will also instruct general Science at Key Stage 3, and proficiency in teaching another science subject would be beneficial. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed by the school.

In addition to the aforementioned qualifications, the successful candidate must:

• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with innovative ideas dedicated to achieving high academic excellence.
• Have recent teaching experience in the relevant subject area and possess current knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to cater to the unique needs of each student.
• Display the capability to collaborate effectively while managing multiple priorities, setting and achieving appropriate targets, and being a positive contributor within the school.
• Be fully proficient in IT.
• Be willing to engage in and support a wide range of school-related activities.
• Comprehend character-based learning concepts and be able to implement individualized learning plans for each student.
• Fully embrace and support the Christian ethos of the school.

Experience in a multicultural international school setting is an added advantage.

The salary for this position ranges from CI$50,700.00 to CI$69,950.00 per year, commensurate with experience based on the school’s salary scale. Benefits include:
