About This Role

Teach Spanish Immersion in the U.S. with Participate Learning

Make an impact in the lives of young learners while advancing your career through cultural exchange.

For nearly 40 years, Participate Learning has linked international educators with schools throughout the U.S. As a sponsor recognized by the U.S. Department of State, we currently assist teachers in 711 schools across 80 districts in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

In an exciting partnership with Wake County Public Schools, we are seeking creative and passionate professionals who believe in the potential of every child. As an ambassador for your country, you will offer genuine and effective educational experiences for all students, equipping them to become engaged global citizens.

As an Ambassador Teacher, you will be welcomed into a supportive community where 97% of teachers choose to renew their contracts, and 96% recommend the experience. You will benefit from no sponsor fees, comprehensive visa and relocation assistance, and mentorship from the very start.

Our dual-language (Spanish immersion) roles are part of a K–5 program, allowing students to learn in two languages, fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and a robust academic foundation. We emphasize early language acquisition, which aids in developing confident communicators, academic success, and active participation in a global society.

Like elementary school teachers, dual language instructors lead core subject classes while conducting lessons in Spanish, using one of two models:

Full Immersion: 90% Spanish

50/50 distribution between English and Spanish.

We are looking for:

Qualified primary educators with training and experience in teaching children ages 5–11, currently employed in a school environment.

Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Benefits include:

Cultural exchange opportunities

Professional development and leadership growth

Financial security and family support

A transformative experience to take home
